Fire Pit

A longer lasting Constructable fire that can be relit. This is the second most resource-strenuous fire to craft (bonfire being the most). The cost is worth it, as basic fires break after a short while of usage.

A lit Fire Pit

Uses

The Fire Pit is a more expensive but better version of the Basic Fire. It lasts longer than the Basic Fire and can also be relit. The Fire Pit is used to keep the player warm, cook food, and provide light. To light/relight a fire hold E/L2. Fires will eventually go out if they are not fueled with leaves or cash. To fuel a fire press C while looking at it. The fuel being used will be in the UI helper that also shows available food to cook. To cook something on a fire pit, equip the item you want to cook and then press C/Square on the fire. When the item is done cooking, press E/X while looking at the fire to eat it.

• Leaving food on the fire for too long will char the food, making it unhealthy to eat. It won't fill the player's hunger meter as much, and will lower thirst by a dangerous amount.
  • To avoid this, it is best to stay near the fire while food is cooking in order to keep an eye on it.
• Cannibals are attracted to lit fires, but will stay at a distance out of fear.

• Cannibals have been found to be able to extinguish a fire and to take food from said fire.

Crafting

It requires 4 Sticks and 7 Rocks to craft.

Bugs

• As of 0.1, sometimes if you press C with raw meat in your hand it won't go onto the fire and get cooked.
